Best Co. on January 11, 2010, affirmed the financial strength rating of A (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of "A" (Excellent) for the Company.  The outlook for both ratings is stable.  A.M. Best stated, in part, that this rating reflects Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company's strong capitalization, favorable loss reserve development, adherence to high underwriting standards and reserving.
